The Role
Excellent, the first few weeks were difficult to get involved with but as I started to pick up more tasks I found the role enjoyable.
Very valued, by the end of the placement I believe I had gained their full trust in making decisions on site.
Guidance was good, everyone I asked helped me on any request I had.
Busier as the role went on and I became trusted and could pick up more tasks. The start was slow but that was to be expected in a role that was different to what I had ever experienced.
High level of responsibly in making decisions and carrying out job roles that were required to move forwards.
Multiple things I had learnt in Geotechnics became put in to a real life scenario and understood how they were applied on site. I became better at reading drawings and have a better understanding of what is required in a 'good' drawing.
The Company
Very friendly, often activities were completed outside of work as well as a nice environment in work.
On the most part it was well organised, although I did feel that maybe I was slightly unexpected upon arrival and some bits weren't quite set up.
Fully, everything that was required was paid for including training and living.

Good, there is no need to apply for the graduate role as you are put forward for it.
The Culture
On the placement there was no fellow placement students however the people I worked with understood and were very good socially. ( This depends on which placement you end on up)
Cheap (This would massively depend on where your placement is)
Near Liverpool so good. This would depend on where the placement was but most are located near cities.
Not many opportunities but the right level for what I was after on a 14 week placement.
