About You
There was a good balance between site visits and working in the office. I was also able to rotate within two teams to gain a breadth of experience.
The employees were willing to take time out of their day to provide advice and help throughout the experience.
I was guided throughout the entire process as I was new to some of the roles.
I had the opportunity to see how theory from the degree programme was put into practice.
The Company
I had been provided with a timetable detailing my program during the insight which was provided a week in advance of my arrival.
The office was open plan and all the teams were approachable and inviting. Overall, the atmosphere was conducive towards a positive work environment.
My experience was for a week so it was not possible for the firm to invest much more than employee time to introduce me to the work.
Joining for a week of experience does not provide enough time to get engaged with the responsibilities a full-time role with the firm would entail, however it provided the opportunity to discuss who were in a full-time role.
It showed that the company and its employees stand by their values.
I had already decided on my career path, the experience supplemented this decision by demonstrating the various routes it is possible to take in this industry.
Everything Else
It was a week of experience.
The office was open plan and employees would welcome an introduction.
I was there for a week.
Yes
A very insightful and rewarding experience.
