The Role
Really enjoyable experience, with bright people and interesting subject to work on. Great company culture. Made many friends among the other interns. Had to present my work in front of the top management and CEO, good opportunity.
I felt that my ideas have been valued. I had the opportunity to test and implement many things by myself in Python, and given help and feedback to implement my own approach to the internship subject.
A lot of support was provided by my colleagues and I felt included in the team right away. Some weeks the traders were really busy and did'nt have time to review my progression.
Quite busy. My time was split between Lunch&Learn sessions, reading news, sending recap emails to the team on market prices and meteo predictions, studying some stochastic models, coding in python and helping the team with some pricing or position report
Had to help on the PnL reports quite often, the numbers can't be wrong because they're sent to top management.
Learnt a lot about the energy markets and financial products related to them. Incredible experience to kick-start a commodity trading career.
