  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I really enjoyed every moment of this placement.

    • Everyone at the Cambridge office was very friendly and helpful.

    • The scheme was designed with a set pathway involving regular meetings and goal setting.

    • We were encouraged to seek out work and manage our own workload.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • We were given a great deal of responsibility (given that we were just SVS students). Everything we produced was checked over of course but we were able to attend client meetings and felt like we made a contribution.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • It was a fairly short placement but I learned some useful and interesting things nonetheless.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • While everyone was very productive it was a very friendly chatty office with lots of outside of work socialising.

    • There were a few hiccups around it access etc but it was very well organised overall.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Individual members of staff were keen to answer questions and provide feedback. Overall we were given a lot of training opportunities and formal opportunities to get feedback on our performance.

    • I will be joining the firm after I have finished my degree.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • We were included in the firm gatherings and the wider team at lunch times.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Not as expensive as London but not cheap either.

    • I didn’t check it out.

    • There was a lot of socialising outside of work.
