The Role
Good working and social environment. Learned a lot.
My line manager trusted me and gave me relevant work. My colleagues complimented me on my skills.
My manager was quite busy and had lots of projects going on, so sometimes I was left a bit on my own, but he did teach me quite a few things.
I had something to do most days. When I didn't I could learn things on my own.
Worked on an important project and had relevant tasks as part of it. Other people's work depended on mine.
Learned a lot of Grasshopper and Autodesk Robot. This will be useful going forward in my career as a structural engineer.
The Company
People were friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs.
Not planned from the beginning, but a reasonable work programme was developed as we went.
I was allowed a lot of freedom to learn whatever I wanted.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
I was told I could come back any time.
The Culture
Nothing was especially organised for interns.
London. Need I say more?
Close to Soho and plenty of pubs around. Great place to be.
There were social gatherings organised by my team (e.g. we went to the park, played games and had drinks)
