Business & Integration Arch Associate Review

The 4 day experience included a mini project with the goal of developing a chatbot in AWS. We were able to work in a team through sprints to complete the chatbot and a website alongside it. I gained an insight into cloud technology and experienced the structure of real life projects. In addition to this task we also participated in a number of workshops and presentations. I thoroughly enjoyed my time over the 4 days and it really helped me to develop my personal, technical and professional skills.

Working as part of a smaller team really made me feel like my opinions and thoughts were important and an addition to the team. Seeing my thoughts and contributions reflected in the work produced was a highlight of mine.

Each team had 2 Accenture employees to support them through the planning and build of the task. They were able to provide input and guidance on the subject, their support was particularly valuable during the project planning and delivery. We could also talk to them one on one and gain a real insight to life at Accenture.

Getting hands on experience with AWS connect gave me my first insight into Cloud Technology and an understanding of technical work. My most valued skills developed over my time on the insight were those in delivery and project management.

The 4 day experience did not only include the mini project but also a range of activities. There were interactive sessions with VR headsets and workshops to develop our skills such as public speaking. We also had a social where we had the chance to network one on one with employees and hear about their time at Accenture. The days were planned perfectly and there were never any dull moments.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, this provided a good environment to work and voice my inputs freely. I still see friends today that I made in Tech Visionaries.

During the week I feel I was encouraged to build on my technical knowledge, by gaining skills in AWS connect.

I feel that this week gave an accurate taste of a working environment. This was particularly apparent in the group project, where the use of agile working and task group delegation is something that is used on a daily bases in my employment with Accenture.

They managed this amazingly, people came and gave talks and really gave us a feel of what the working culture was like at Accenture. Not just at graduate level but more senior employees as well.

Although the week was invaluable in the sense of giving me the opportunity to become part of the Accenture community. Through that, it opened more doors than it closed in the way of career possibilities.

I was reimbursed for my travel expenses and food was provided.

Yes, after the first day they organised a fun networking event where we got to meet employees and management.

The opportunities provided were great, the casual social environment made it easy to talk and gather insight on peoples experiences working for Accenture.

Yes we were told all about the different societies you can become a part of, such as: sports, religious, language and political societies to name a few.

10/10 would recommend. It was a valuable learning experience.
