About You
I really liked how the insight day was structured. I liked the fact that we were given the opportunity to talk both to senior people and analysts. I would say the only moment I felt something could be improved was during the first part of the event when we had been divided into two rooms and we could talk to analysts. I feel that at that moment, the room was very small and it was hard to rotate from one person to another.
People tried to take you on your ease and that has been great for breaking the ice. I felt important and valued by MUFG thanks to the organization, perfect in every single detail.
The organizer of the meeting has been amazing. She is always ready to give answers and suggestions. All the speakers were open to share their experience and give suggestions, and I found it extremely valuable.
The information I received made me understand better the different divisions in the bank, allowing me to really understand that the division I chose to apply for is the right one for me.
The Company
The insight was very well structured.
I felt a bit of competition from the other participants in the meetings. However, the speakers tried to make sure that all of us had room to talk.
The company tried to organize different activities to answer different types of questions someone can have: on one hand, questions more specific about the internship to analysts; on the other, questions about life and the company to seniors.
By hearing opinions from seniors, I could understand what does it mean to live for the whole life in a bank and how fun it is.
A significant part of the presentation was about the company culture and the speakers highlighted how important it is in shaping their careers.
I had the proof that what I like is trading, but also I am a bit scared of the possible development of trading.
Everything Else
I think especially for people from abroad like me, the reimbursement was not enough considered that I was given this opportunity only three days before.
Most of the event was about networking and giving us the opportunity to talk to people of the company.
The networking was good. I found difficult to move from one person to another during the first stage of the insight because the room was small, but still, I could talk with many people.
I found out that MUFG tries to do its best to organize activities outside work for its employees, e.g. volunteering. However, for some divisions, it may be hard to have free time during the week to get involved in some activities.
Absolutely. I would recommend going to this event before doing the application, so to have the change to understand what it suitable for him before he applies.
