The Role
Really excellent experience: everyone is super nice, you get more free stuff than you can shake a stick at, very cool offices, projects are interesting, a lot of time & training is invested in you, I'd absolutley recommend it
Very much so, everyone you spoke to always had time to answer your questions no matter how senior they were and you were given a mentor who was almost always available to help you out with any problems. Everyone values you not as an intern but as a regular employee like anyone else
There was a review of progress at the half way point of the internship where feedback was given and you were also asked to set some personal goals for your final five weeks. Feedback was clear and actionable in my case and I appreciated that it was specific to me
I think that this very much depends on how much you engage with the projects you're given, it would be very easy to do the minimum because there's nobody pushing you to work hard and the hours are very flexible but there's also nobody stopping you working from 8am to 6pm if that's what you really want. I felt it was an enviroment that could be taking advantage of workaholics but if you're able to moderate yourself its perfect
You really are delivering stuff with real bussiness value, stuff that gets deployed out to customers, so from that point of bview there is a good deal of responsibility. However, you're well supported so it feels comfortable
I personally learnt a lot about software engineering in practice, Agile is so much easier to understand when your working in a team of professionals who do it all day everyday. Also I learnt a great deal about being a developer in a professional setting which is something you can't really learn at University
The Company
Very good, you could approach almost anyone and ask them a question if you needed to. Personally I worked in a really good team, good laugh at times and there were various events (sports day, bake off, All in live) every few weeks to break it up
Very good, fist week was seperate training and onboarding for all of the interns seperatley so you got to know your peers before you joined a team. Then you were supported in the work you did with your team by the internship program with extra training, for example in public speaking
A lot. Training on various technologies, some of the interns got external AWS certifications for free, not to mention that if you asked almost anyone on your team if they could take an hour and go over whatever you wanted they'd help you or find someone who could help you

At the end of the internship you were either offered a graduate position after your final year of University or not and if not why and what you could do to improve in the future. It was fair and I think a reasonable number of the interns recieved a job offer
The Culture
Because you spend the first week as a seperate group being trained and onboarded you quickly get to know the other interns and there was a good social scene
In Nottingham it was pretty cheap but in London probably a lot more, however the London Interns did get payed slightly more The pubs of choice are ussualy of the more pricey variety - but you get payed pretty well so...
Good, right in the middle of nottingham so lots of nice pubs around - people would often go to the pub on a friday after work Not to mention the mini-music festival they threw for all of the associates
yes, some interns did a five peak walking challenge for charity whilst we were there - can't think of anything else of the top of my head but there were various fun days that you could take part in
