    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • My placement year was hugely enjoyable. The company culture allowed me to make the most of work during the 9 - 5 but most importantly, they really emphasised a living culture outside of work. The company motto of 'creators of conviviality' was really put into practice every day which made work a lot more enjoyable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues at Pernod Ricard gave me a huge sense of belonging from day one. Further into my placement year they started to give me more and more responsibility which made work life more challenging and made me feel like I was really valued by the management.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The support from my whole team while working at Pernod Ricard was brilliant. If I ever felt out of my depth or in need of help I was comfortable of approaching anyone in my team, especially my manager. The monthly reviews were a great opportunity to see how I could improve and what I needed to do to develop.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • At the start of my placement I was eased into a full working environment which was a great help. As my year went on, my days became much more busier as I was given more responsibility on projects. This however, was not too much and I was always comfortable in easing my workload if it was becoming too much.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a great amount of responsibility towards the end of my placement to the point that I was managing my own projects. My development at the start of the year helped me massively to become a much more independent worker.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • During my placement I was exposed to new technologies which I had never seen before, which has now led me to want to develop further in a grad role. I also learnt many skills which will help me massively with my final year project.
