The Role
My experience on this internship has been an amazing, life changing experience allowing me to look further into an office style enviroment and the type of career I would like to go down. I have enjoyed it endlessly and would love to go down this career route!
My colleagues made me feel like a part of the team from the word 'go'. They constantly show how much they value me and my work and have always made me feel like Im a part of the team regardless of my temporary contract.
Anytime/everytime I needed support, my line manager and team members would drop what they were doing and rush over to help and guide me. They were extremely helpful and supportive, I could'nt have asked for a better team.
On a regular basis, I was extremely busy, once I had completed a stage of work, I was then given my next stage quickly, allowing me to work consistently throughout the day without any stops or disruptions.
During my placement I was given a lot of responsibility from managing applications, speaking regularly with candidates and writing up important pieces of information. I was given just about as much responsibility as you can give to new unskilled worker.
The skills I have developed on this work placement have massively improved my transferable skills and allowed me to adapt my personality based on the enviroment I am put in. This is extremely important for you need to be professional in an office style enviroment.
The Company
Every employee was full of life and joy, walking through the office was brilliant seeing everyones positive attitudes and mindsets.
I could have done with some 'pre-written notes' on the first day of the placement to help me identify what to do, and what not to do, also giving me an insight into the entire programme.
A lot of time, effort and notepads.
Sports and Social Club
Excellent! I would work for Reed again without a shadow of a doubt.
The Culture
I got along with every single employee, everyone treated me well and made me feel at home on a regular basis.
SERIOUSLY AS CHEAP AS CHIPS.
Nightlife?
Yes, a 'leaving do' for a colleague who handed in their resignation.
