It was a great experience, learning from senior colleagues and gaining experience in the field of audit. I would recommend it to anyone looking for experience in accountancy.
Everyone was very kind and made me feel welcome. My line manager checked on me regularly and other were kind and helped me learn a lot.
I received a lot of guidance from my line manager. He helped me learn about audit and was very patient with me through the process.
This has helped me in my degree and in the subject of audit. I learned about materiality which has helped me in my audit exams.
The Company
The insight and programme was structured well by the staff
Everyone was was very friendly and made the interns feel welcome
The company invested a lot of resources into the interns, getting management of the highest level to interact and help you. My line manager spent a lot of time helping em and giving me advice which is invaluable to my future career. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an insight into audit.
The insight showed me deloitte is a company which values its employees, this insight showed me that working at Deloitte would be a great experience. The experience gave me an insight into the working life of employees and has made me motivated to work there. It allowed me to network and add new experience to my CV.
The insight showed me the amazing company culture of Deloitte and it makes me look forward to working there. It showed me the teamwork of the employees and how fun it would be to work with others. I particularly liked how young and relatable the people were and I felt like I could talk to anyone.
The content of the day allowed me to gain invaluable insight into the company and concrete my ambitions to become an auditor. I would love to become an auditor and work with clients overall the world. This is a selling point for me about Deloitte; working all over the world.
Everything Else
I spoke to other interns and other recent graduates which allowed me to interact and network with other employees at all opportunities. It was very interesting and speaking to them helped my gain insight into the audit profession. Employees are very friendly at Deloitte and made me feel excited to work there.
There was an opportunity to network with other employees but not at an official event for this. I would like an official event to help network as I feel this opportunity wasn’t given in my three weeks of interning. We went for a social drink with co workers at the end of the experience and it was very fun and allowed me to know others more in depth.
Not really I wasn’t introduced to much because of I was only there 3 weeks. I think that 3 weeks isn’t a long enough time to learn about others activities. I would like to learn more when I return next summer about the activities employees get involved in at work.
Yes, because it developed my insight into auditing and allowed me to gain invaluable knowledge and experience. I would definitely recommend this to a friend who wanted to intern with a big firm. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and allowed me to organically grow over the 3 weeks I was there.
