About You
The insight programme was thoroughly enjoyable and very inspiring. I was thrilled to be able to take part especially since the event had to be moved online due to Coronavirus. All staff members were friendly and open, providing lots of details about the company and service line.
I felt very valued as I was able to ask as many questions as I needed and they were all answered with honesty and enough detail to satisfy my curiosity.
Before the event began there was a lot of support to help move the event online which was very much appreciated. A lot of guidance was given during the event in the form of answering questions.
I received a lot of information about the company and opportunities available. This was very useful for me as I am a first year university student looking to start planning my career ahead.
The Company
The event was very structured. A timetable was provided at the beginning with spaces for Q&A sessions available for a little interaction.
The general atmosphere was very positive and informative. The employees at EY made the event interesting and interactive which made it very enjoyable and motivating especially since the event was held virtually.
A lot of time was spent talking me through the types of skills EY was looking for and how I would be able to develop these which was very helpful.
All members of staff were able to give details about their role both when they started and now which was helpful. I was able to get more information as to how a graduate programme is run and what kinds of activities i would be involved with if i was successful.
So much information was given about the company's culture and work life. I found it so interesting to learn about the different activities employees can get involved with and learn more about. This is something I look for in a company and am therefore impressed that EY is very focused on culture and diversity.
The content included in the event was very helpful as i was able to solidify my decision for wanting to work in assurance especially at EY. This is because I was so inspired with the people who were running the event and I just wanted to keep on listening as all the information was so helpful and interesting.
Everything Else
This was not needed as the event was held virtually.
I was able to ask questions to the members of staff running the event, but seeing as it was held online via Microsoft teams, it made it a bit more difficult to have a full conversation with people.
Similar to the networking answer i gave, there wasn't really an opportunity to do this seeing as the even was online. However, after this event i have now seen that all EY members I have had the chance to interact with, they are all so friendly and approachable.
When members of staff were introducing themselves they all gave information about their hobbies and interests outside of work which was interesting to find out and learn.
Yes! The event was so fun and enjoyable. I would highly recommend it!
