About You
Due to the coronovirus pandemic the Discover EY Black Heritage in Business event was moved to online. The EY team did an amazing job to accommodate for the online setting, and we were able to hear from various professionals across the service lines who provided deep insights into their roles and the culture surrounding the work place.
We were given multiple opportunities to ask questions via the chat box function and gain valuable tidbits that you wouldn't hear anywhere else. Multiple EY staff took the time out of their day to share their personal experiences and challenges they faced whilst working at EY. They were very honest and open with us so that was much appreciated.
We were given a lot of valuable information throughout the day from the professionals themselves and then also from the student recruitment team where tips where shared about the application process and the characters and qualities needed to succeed at a top company such as EY. It was an insightful day,
My mindset was developed by a talk on strengths and weaknesses where weaknesses where framed as areas of development. This mindset will carry me forward in my own personal life. Insights about the service lines have also help me understand where my personal interests may lay and where I am most likely to apply.

Due to the coronovirus pandemic the Discover EY Black Heritage in Business event was moved to online. The day was jam packed with a revolving door of speakers and panels on various different topics. The day was as well structured as it could be with the odd accidental muting of the mic and blurry webcams here and there.
Due to the online nature of the event, I was apply to attend from the comfort of my bedroom without having the need to suit up and look smart, which was very much appreciated! From the EY side they where very much open and honest and very generous with their time and the retelling of their personal journeys and struggles.
Various black and POC working professionals were able to recount their stories and struggles they faced in their career. I was able to understand what EY are doing differently to other companies and the effort they are doing to ensure ambitious diversity targets are met and I was very satisfied with what I heard.
