Sales Associate Review

The internship I have undertaken at SAP has been brilliant for myself and there have been huge learnings to be had from all of the great opportunities which are available at SAP. I have enjoyed my time here through seeing how a huge corporation functions and works with customers to achieve common goals.

I have felt valued throughout my year at SAP, understanding the environment in which I work took some getting used to simply because it is so fast and people around are spinning so many plates all at one time. I have certainly felt like I am a valued employee throughout my time.

Management and the team around me have been supportive and pushed me to achieve good things while working here while also maintaining the stature management has a duty to do. When you come into a role here it is all new, especially as a young professional so it is vital to have good guidance.

I have been very busy throughout my time at SAP, whether that be working for my manager getting tasks they need doing done or working for the people in my team, there is always something which needs doing and as the intern you are incredibly useful to the team when It comes to meeting deadlines.

I would say that I have been given I degree of responsibility here, however I would certainly have benefitted from more responsibility in terms of working closer with customers than I have done. I also fully understadn that the size of business which SAP deals with makes it hard to give someone with no experience much responsibility on deals.

I have developed hugely as a person and also my skill set is far broader than it was when I entered the doors on my first day here. Working for such a huge corporation opened my eyes to a whole new world of business and how people work to achieve a common goal globally.

The atmosphere is very good and a nice environment to work in, especially having such talented people around you certainly a great booster to achieve great things and get the work done well and in a given time period. The office certainly provides a great place to do good work.

The placement was set up well, the only drawback I would say is that there isn't enough training on the products we sell, right at the start of the placement which means you are always trying to catch up when on meetings etc with what the product being talked about actually does. It just takes more time self learning than it would do if we were taught at the beginning.

The company help you in any way they can to better the interns, if there was anything I wanted to do whether that be in a different area of the business or within my line, they are very happy to support learning about other areas in the business which I would say is a huge benefit of work for here.

Future employment prospects at SAP are hugely enticing for myself as someone who is very driven and eager to suceed, SAP provides a brilliant platform to springboard as a young proffessional and has limitless opportunity as a global company allowing you to travel the world with work and explore new places of work.

One of the best aspects of my placements is the mates i will carry froward from the experience i have had. Working day in day out with brilliant people who can support you. Everyone helps everyone in this community which allows great relationships to build and i will certainly have a few mates for life from this experience.

i have been renting about 2 minutes away from the main office I am based in which has been brilliant, close enough to central London that I could get in and out easily but also close enough to work to have a very easy commute to work in the mornings.

Being in london, the nightlife is of course a huge aspect of living there and it hasnt dissapointed. I have had the most brilliant year going out for drinks with mates and enjoying the London life that I was looking forward to before i started there, I couldn't speak highly enough the work life balance I have had this year.

There are plenty of volunteering opportunities to take part in while working on an internship at SAP and one which I would highly recommend is working on the events which SAP host, as such a huge company with so may customers, SAP really do know how to put on an event and they are great fun to be involved in.
