The Role
It was really good fun, met some lovely people and learnt a lot about the company!
Everyone got to know each other quite well by the end of the week.
It was clear what you were supposed to be doing at most points during the week. There was always someone that you could talk to if you had any questions.
There were a lot of things packed in to the days. I think the longest day was 8.30am - 9pm but there was a lot going on so you didn't really notice and I really felt like they showed us as much as they possibly could in 5 days.
No actual responsibility in terms of tasks to do or anything. There was responsibility in keeping any information that you discovered whilst on the desks confidential so as not to provide insider information of any sort.
I learnt a lot about networking and being confident. Also I now know a lot more about how the bank works as a whole which is really useful to help me decide what I want to do when I graduate.
The Company
There was definitely a lot going on during work shadowing sessions although some of the talks and presentations lasted a bit too long.
Very well organised. Despite moving between several offices (they wanted to show us all of their London locations) they always knew where everyone should be and there were no long waits for them to get organised.
They invested a lot of time in preparing us during the first couple of days so that we could make the most of our time spent work shadowing.

Company Parties/Events
There was an assessment centre on the final day for a summer internship with the company. Following a summer internship there would be an assessment for a graduate level job.
The Culture
We were very busy during the day but in the evenings a lot of people spent time together. The majority of us were staying in the same block of apartments so it was easy to meet up.
Quite expensive but then it was London. There were cheaper options such as buying from a supermarket and cooking in the apartment or more expensive options such as eating out every night.
We went to a nice bar on the final evening but that's all that I really saw of the night life.
There was a dinner with executives after one of the days but that was only for those who won certain challenges during the day.
