The Role
The business unit looked to use you as a tool to help it in certain ways. Involvement in projects and although temporary would invest training and qualifications into its students. The chance to use the company assets to visit other Cummins Ltd factories around the UK, conferences, events and having the chance to stay over. The respect gained from the role and the opportunity to act on own instinct and freedom from the role is comendable.
From the start everybody was brilliant, I have made so many new friends and best friends from the short time I have spent within this role vasting all over the business areas. My only concern is that I do not want to leave.
Dependant on the projects at the time and normal job role functions ar the time.
I was in control of many projects which I would work closely and continue to push ideas and actions forward. The opportunity to travel independantly and be incharge of own work plan.
I have gained much training which will help me achieve my lifetime goals! and has also helped me plan extactly what I need to do in the future to be successful
The Company
Happy medium, with the economic climate though sometimes as expected morale was low, but the people where such as that they always saw the brightside. Work was enjoyable and this is why I enjoyed getting up in the morning.
Items evolved themselves so it is up to the placement student to follow what suits them, the more of a proactive role that is taken and the more that you do, and the more people that you speak to, the more you are remembered! The mainframe was presented in the first month and items fit around this.
I gained much training, internal and external as well benefitting the company this greatly benefits your CV.
