About You
This was an amazing insight week. Despite the challenging circumstances it was so immersive and educational to be able to learn from all types of people at citi and what all of their different roles involve. The insight week was nothing like i have experienced before and has really helped me learn about the roles i would want to do in the future
The organisation really valued me in my opinion. They were very engaged and organised for very senior members of the organisation to have talks and live conversations with all of the interns. We were also able to participate in a Q&A directly with employees adding to the experience of direct response.
The insight was really good at informing me about new projects citi is working on as well as putting into perspective world news and events that were happening at the time, notably coronavirus. There was also a lot of insight as to how i would be able to best prepare myself for applying to citi in the future.
The information was really good at informing me on how to best prepare for AC's. I have learnt a lot about the important techniques and concepts one should understand in activities such as markets and trading as well all of the rationale for mergers and BCMA activities. I feel this knowledge will definitely help me at interviews in the future.
The Company
There was a great structure to the programme, so a special thanks to the amazing HR team. There was in-depth coverage of all of the sectors and activities that Citi engages with meaning across our time we learnt about a lot. There was well scheduled breaks and it felt just as if we at work.
It was extremely welcoming and we had lots of fun moments too. It was really great having the ability to have live discussion with fellow members of my class. The HR team was very funny and i thought Citi valued us a lot by giving us their time and resources.
The firm was great at giving us information and resources which we could use to develop and learn from. During the insight into markets and securities services we were hosted by Amplify trading, which is a professional organisation which normally charge to provide detailed technical training usually to graduates so it was great that we were also provided with that experience
The insight really helped me understand that Citi is a great and global place to work with fun and welcoming people. This came across to me thought the responses to questions and overall atmosphere thought out the sessions which were fun and engaging. So this was definitely helpful to understand what citi would be like.
The company culture came across very well through the interaction i was able to have with employees and the HR team. They were very nice and funny and showed me that Citi would be an amazing global place to work with lots of diverse talent.
The content definitely helped in me understanding what all of the departments at citi do and what skills are useful with in each one. I was also able to learn about the activities they engage and for me what was important is being able to find out which ones i like and the ones i like to do.
Everything Else
This was not necessary as i was at home during the insight.
Yes through the interactive Q&A session it was a great opportunity to talk with other employees and ask them any questions which we had which they gladly answered.
There was not many due to the current situation we are in which meant the insight was virtual
Yes we learnt there are many initiatives that citi engage in with employees to help give back to the communities they exist in.
Yes to anyone who is eligible and thinks they may be interested in a career at citi or the industry or who is unsure then this is defiantly something you should apply to help you understand more about what a career at citi could be like and this will also help your progression with a career at citi.
