Super nice, not only the employees but also the participants were great.
I believe Citi directed a lot of time and effort towards ensuring that the program would replicate an in-person Spring Week as closely as possible. They organized networking sessions as well as presentations and Q&As with employees from all positions within the company, ranging from Analysts to the most senior Managing Directors.
I believe that the conversations with analyst were incredibly valuable. I think it is extremely commendable that the analysts did not only focus on telling us how great investment banking is as a job, but rather gave very honest answers to tough questions, regarding working hours and the lifestyle of Analysts.
I don't think a single speaker failed to give some information about the company culture. I thought it was great that employees from arguably very different departments within the firm mentioned the same aspects of the culture that they thought made Citi special. I believe getting to know Citi's culture was one of the main outcomes of the week.
Going into the Spring Week I was already convinced that Citi would be an employer that I would enjoy working for in the future. The program reinforced this and convinced me that Citi would be a great fit for me. I hope Citi shares this impression. The week also fortified my desire to work in BCMA.
Everything Else
The program was unpaid.
Yes, even though the program was virtual, we did not only meet the speakers that gave presentations throughout the week. A virtual live chat helped us get to know more employees from different divisions and ask them any questions we had. Apart from this, I got to know other interns through Whatsapp and Zoom.
Citi made the most of the situation.
Yes, this was once again as a result of the live chat and the talk given by Analysts. I found out that Citi employees can get involved in many clubs and sports teams, as well as further education in coding languages etc. I was pleased to find out that pursuing your interests at work was possible at Citi.
Yes.
