About You
The programme was a fantastic insight into the inner workings of a large bank and its product areas. The sessions were well thought out and structured. I would highly recommend this programme to anyone wanting to gain a more in-depth understanding of the industry from a highly regarded financial institution.
Everyone who we met at the firm made time to answer questions and get to know us on a more personal level. The HR team were fantastic and made every effort to make sure we were getting the most out of the programme. Overall I felt highly valued whilst at the firm.
During the insight programme, there was constant guidance. Particularly in the more technically complex trading sessions, every effort was made to make sure that each individual person was aware of the task and their role. This meant that things were explained and assistance was given wherever it was needed by the team.
The ability to understand financial concepts from a more practical point of view is a skill I have taken away from this programme. I believe this will assist in further study as it provides a more holistic perspective on the news and how other people might interpret it, which is important in the market.
The Company
The insight programme was very well structured and in my opinion, covered all of the main areas of the bank well. There was time devoted to each section of the bank to gain a deeper understanding of that area. For example, there was a case study from IBD and an Amplify trading session.
The atmosphere on the programme was very engaging and people made a big effort to keep it lively. All of the staff and team members were really interesting to get to know us better and made us feel at ease. This was a big indicator of the culture of Citi.
The firm provided access to many employees and speakers to talk to about their jobs and how they do business. There was always time for questions and they were answered very well and in plenty of detail. This led to a very well rounded picture of what life at Citi is like
The company culture emanated throughout the programme. It was very easy to see that each employed really enjoyed the work that they do. This made a great impression of the culture at Citi. Each person involved in the programme was very happy to speak to us about their jobs and what they liked.
The programme had some really interesting content that gave a better understanding of each business area. The improved feel of the job and was definitely a factor in deciding an area for a future career. I would say it was very helpful to understand the different areas of the business in the way that Citi laid it out.
Everything Else
This insight programme would get a recommendation from me as it gave me a lot to take away in terms of thing to look at further. It also provided a lot of interesting knowledge and perspectives from each speaker about their business area which I think is very enriching and gives good industry flavour.
