About You
I enjoyed all aspects of the programme content. The HR team that planned the session were very nice, supportive and helpful. I came out of the programme with a completely renewed understanding of the financial markets and the firm. The programme had perfectly packaged a mix of educational sessions and interactive elements like case studies. However, due to the breakout of the COVID-19, it was offered on a Virtual Platform instead this year. This has nothing to do with the firm or the speakers, but the platform used did not offer the best features to support the interactive elements designed within the programme. I would recommend Zoom next time!
Despite the points where my Skype did not work, the recruiters made every effort to read out the questions I had sent to them via email out loud during the session. Both the recruiters and representatives listened to what every attendee had to say, and made the extra effort to answer every questions, even those that were sent in later, after the programme
The Company
The Spring Insight had two sections, one morning one and one afternoon one. Each session lasted about 2 hours and there were plenty breaks in the middle. Overall, the structure was great. In terms of individual sessions, the share screen feature allowed the speakers to deliver their content in a very structured and easily digestible manner. Plenty of pictures and flowcharts, always helps!
Via the 'Day in the life of...' sessions, the firm provided both depth and breadth of insight into what an Analyst role would actually look like. All of these sessions concluded with plenty of time for Q&A, which gave the participants every opportunity to ask any question that they wanted to know regarding the type of projects Analysts in xxx division work on, the time horizon they look at and the key skills and attributes needed.
Everything Else
The recruiters actively encouraged us to add the speakers on Linkedin or to send them a follow-up email. However, quite understandably, there were no in-person networking events planned for later.
N/A but I reckon would have been great.
Definitely. Banks as big as UBS have a variety of different divisions and roles that a quick look at the company website would not help clarify. This programme has really offered the greatest opportunity to find out more about all these different areas (that are actively hiring in London) in digestible chunks.
