  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were no personal training sessions but we will expect them during the future as indicated by the company. The sessions themselves were helpful for development as they gave me knowledge and insights from the bank's employees and they mentioned various ways to develop oneself during this time which was very helpful.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Very insightful and illuminated all the different roles at the bank. All the speakers talked about their job on a day-to-day basis and helped illustrate it very clearly by giving examples of cases they had been involved in. They talked about how this compares to other divisions as well so I was able to understand the life of an employee.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The bank's culture was made explicitly clear by the speakers and I was able to judge whether it is a culture that I would easily fit into. Furthermore, the culture was clear from the way the speakers talked and communicated with each other as well therefore it was great in terms of clearly illustrating the bank's culture to us

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It was valuable as each speaker did a deep dive into their division and talked about various aspects of what they do day-to-day. The entire spring week was geared towards helping us understand which division is best suited to us and I came out of it knowing where I want to apply.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • I was able to ask questions of the speakers and there were a very large and diverse array of speakers during the insight week. Nevertheless, due to covid 19, the spring week was held in a virtual setting and therefore there were not any opportunities for real life networking and meeting other employees.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • There werent opportunities to connect 1-1 with employees as it was a virtual setting but still I was able to connect with them and ask them my questions afterwards. The employees were very friendly therefore I did not hesitate to connect with them and I look forward to meeting them in real life.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes! All the employees talked about their life outside the bank. In each session, they talked about the activities they get involved in as a firm and they also talked about their life out of work. This gave a very balanced view of the work environment and their work-life balance.

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Definitely - it was a great experience. The HR team was very helpful and the speakers were interesting and willing to share their experiences. Furthermore, given the current situation, the level of information that was given to us over such a short period of time was exceptional therefore I would recommend it.
