About You
I enjoyed the way Bank of America adapted the Spring Insight process facing this exceptional context. Having access to all the divisions gave me a better understanding of Bank of America. I was able to interact with Bank of America speakers on many occasions (case studies, Q&A sessions,). The speakers were able to share with us their vision of Bank of America, through the knowledge of their divisions, their background and their experiences in associations as volunteers. Setting up business cases, especially in M&A, was fluent and very inspiring. I also greatly appreciated the Analyst Panel where Kate Eggers superbly coordinated all the speakers, which enabled me to better compare the divisions. The Spring Insight confirmed my willingness to work and learn with the Investment Banking teams during the Summer Internship 2021.
Despite the difficult situation, we had the opportunity to Q&A sessions to ask questions to analysts and other workers of Bank of America. We were able to participate during M&A and other business cases. Moreover, we had a buddy and I was able to call him and ask him many questions.
This insight helped me to understand all the divisions of Bank of America. It was a good idea to have, at the beginning of the insight a great explanations of these divisions and what links them
As I am in a Master of Finance, I am learning theory but with this Spring Insight, I had the opportunity to learn more about how you analyse a M&A case, ... I am definitely sure I want to start my career as an Investment Banking Analyst.
The Company
Firstly, a presentation of the whole company (values, different divisions, history of the company, ...) Secondly, for each divisions, there were first of all a summary of all what their daily tasks are. Then, a business case to understand the issues they tackle. Finally, they were a Q&A session so as to
It was a very good atmosphere, I had the opportunity to speak with many of the student that were taking part of the insight.
They wanted to make sure we understand everything they said.
Through Q&A sessions and with every divisions, it was easy to understand the daily tasks they had.
Through associations, through their values but also with the way they deeply wanted to maintain this internship.
It definitely helped me to confirm my willingness to do Investment Banking.
Everything Else
I was not paid but my expenses would have been reimbursed
Yes a lot, through a buddy but also by networking on Linkedin with employees.
Despite the situation, I had the opportunity to call analysts and associates and to meet other students.
There are many opportunities, from sport to association like volunteering.
It is a perfect opportunity to understand the divisions, the values of the bank and it confirmes my will to work in Investment Banking.
