About You
I enjoyed the sessions that were division specific as I could hone my interest and learn more about the area that I was interested in. I also found that being able to attend a multiple of different divisions as well was useful in gaining a holistic view of the firm and its operations.
I felt valued during my time there as firstly due to the current circumstances, it was organised very well to be a virtual insight and it showed how Bank of America really values us and their people to put in the effort to arrange something for us. Moreover, the atmosphere felt. very friendly and welcoming as well.
The speakers and presenters were very professional and gave a very good insight into their divisions. They also made sure that any queries would be answered by utilising the chat function on Zoom where we could write any questions we had throughout the talks. I found that very helpful as the speakers would clarify throughout their talk where necessary.
The information I received was very helpful in bringing light to me and mainly confirming to me where my divisional interest was. In that area, I thoroughly enjoyed the case study that was presented and I found that I got a real flavour of what a role in that area would be like and furthered my desire to have the opportunity to explore that role further.
The Company
I found that the insight was very well structured with a. comprehensive timetable and breakdown of all the different events, timings and meeting links sent before the insight scheme began. I also liked how the closing gave us the opportunity to listen to the Analyst Panel give some advice collectively on all the different division which I found was great way to end the programme with tips given for us moving forward.
I found that the atmosphere of the insight was very friendly and organised. I felt that it was a greta reflection of the culture of the firm and really made me fall in love with the firm itself.
Given the difficult circumstances, I can tell that the firm has tried really hard and invested a lot into us interns. Not only did the firm arrange a very comprehensive insight programme, but the continued communications afterwards sending us divisional specific resources to further our knowledge in certain areas as well as the buddy programme really shows how much the firm has invested in us.
I felt that the insight did very well to portray what a full time role would be like with the firm from the case studies that were presented reflecting a project that we could be working on, to actually listening to speakers and a panel answer our questions we submitted regarding their everyday within the firm, I felt I gained a great insight into this area.
I felt that the insight was very good at helping us understand the culture of the firm with the giving factor really standing out from the start. This was really a running theme throughout the insight and it helped to reiterate what the firm stood for and what they represented.
I felt that the content was very useful in helping me decide on a future career path as I attended multiple sessions even within divisions that were not my original preferences and that really enabled me to hone in on my own interests and discover in which sessions I was most excited and intrigued by.
Everything Else
The scheme was an insight scheme and so there was no payment. Moreover, as it was a virtual insight given the current circumstances, there were no expenses incurred to be reimbursed.
There were many opportunities to meet with employers of the firm whether that be the speakers and presenters or later on the analyst panel who had been in our shoes very recently. Together this gave a great, well-rounded insight into the firm.
I thought they were good especially given the current circumstances and I felt that anything we wanted to say would be heard and answered by the hosts and speakers.
Yes, there was a lot of emphasis during the insight on what employees could get involved in outside of the work. This was following emphasis on the giving back culture of the firm as well as the focus of the firm on the wellbeing of employees. The activities took a variety of forms from the opportunities available to volunteer within the communities to the societies or groups that one could join.
I would definitely recommend the insight to a friend as it gave a great holistic view of the firm and what it stood for. Moreover, it was very informative both in terms of gaining more knowledge as well as helping to decide career paths and really helping to find my interests.
