The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed the week - very varied and insightful.
RBS employees were always willing to answer questions and gave up lots of time to explain to us what they were doing.
As an insight week we didn't really have a manager but those organising the week were very approachable.
There was a comprehensive schedule which kept us busy for the whole duration of the week.
As it was a spring insight week we weren't really given much responsibility as it was more work shadowing.
Enabled me to have a greater understanding of investment banking as a whole and also RBS as a company.
The Company
Throughout the whole week we were in many different places so there was always a level of novelty and excitement.
Once on the week the organisation was very good - communication by RBS before the week was not as good.
Covered pretty much everything including accommodation expenses in the middle of London!
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Waiting to hear whether I got a summer internship for 2013.
The Culture
Felt that both Operations and Technology were separated from the Front Office interns reasonably swiftly.
London is never cheap but mostly covered by expenses.
Was only there a week but bars we did go to were always busy.
Several events run by recent graduates - innovative and fun!
