About You
The insight week was definitely very interesting and widened my perspective as it provided more of a holistic view of how the divisions within Bank of America intertwine and work together. I felt that all the talks were engaging and most questions were answered to keep the experience more interactive.
I felt valued due to the great effort to make the most of the unprecedented situation we are in and still provide an insight week with such short notice. A lot of my questions were answered when possible and appropriate and I felt as if my questions were answered with great detail.
The graduate interns gave practical and relevant advice for how to prepare for interviews and how to do well on a summer internship. They also shared detailed evaluations of their experience of the process as well as what it is like working at Bank of America, which was very useful and insightful.
The skills developed in the programme will not really help me directly with my degree studies as there is not much teamwork or communication skills needed for my course. However, these skills will be very useful for networking and will help in future internships next year as well as in the workplace.
The Company
The timings for each talk were punctual and ended on time. The timetable was also sent out with plenty of time in advance so we were able to plan which talks to attend. I felt the hosts managed the time well and presented the information succinctly whilst making the material interesting.
The graduate interns gave extremely useful advice and relevant information about the skills needed for their job as well as rundowns of their daily activities on the job.
The talk on the charity of the year at Bank of America was encouraging to hear. Some of the graduate interns also expressed some of the sports teams they were a part of.
It helped confirm my direction within the technology division and has motivated me more to land a job at Bank of America.
Everything Else
I would definitely recommend this insight week as it is a great way to really understand the roles available within each division. The first hand advice from the graduate interns is all information which cannot be found on the internet and was extremely valuable.
