The Role
Very interesting week, provided a very thorough insight into RBS's investment arm.
We were treated as adults and colleagues, not talked down as could have happened.
Analysts who were shadowed were always open to questions, similarly the organisers.
Very busy, some long days, but to be expected in the banking industry.
Not really applicable for this insight week.
Through various simulations of the bank's operations, communication, trading and numerical skills were developed.
The Company
We were kept occupied with interesting tasks related to the sector.
Went without a hitch.
Many simulations and presentations from which to learn.
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
From what could be gathered from spending just a week there, RBS seemed like a very attractive place to work.
The Culture
Many of us were put up in the same apartment block, so opportunities for socialising were always present.
As is to be expected from London, but affordable if you know where to go.
It was London.
Some evenings activities were laid on, others you could just do your own thing.
