The Role
This year has allowed me to get a grasp on what it is like working for a blue chip company and the exposure you would expect on a placement - as well as getting an enormous amount of connections. My start of the year was in a role which ended which I was happy about because I didn't enjoy it. Furthermore, I then got the placement role of my dreams, which has been 10/10.
The atmosphere at IBM has been personally the most enjoyable thing about working there for me.
We have an EPM who is always there if we need them which is re-assuring.
It differed depending on what was happening, but most days in my new role, very busy - which is what I like.
A huge amount of responsibility in my new role, hardly any in my first role however.
I haven't found out yet - but know it will benefit me
The Company
As I said previously, the atmosphere was the most enjoyable part about working at IBM.
Personally, my first role wasn't really a role for a placement student. However since starting my new role, it has been excellent.
We had lots of resources to do online training, but not much physical training in my opinion
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
Future employment prospects are huge here and there are lots of opportunities to get!
The Culture
YES
Fairly expensive
Not great - unless we went to Southampton
To some extent
