The Role
The projects I was involved in were great, you get to shadow a Project Manager (most of the time your line manager) and you learn a lot of things which they dont teach you at university and I seem to have discovered that you dont use much of the knowledge that you have learned in Uni. I found my job a bit administrative towards the last few months of my placement. But this was probably due to the fact that our company went through major re-organisation therefore a lot of interesting projects had to be scraped and I didn't get the opportunity to do them. Working here is quite laid back, flexible time lets you choose your hours and depending on your manager you even get to work from home from time to time.
It was a perfect balance for most of the time, but in the final few months of my placement my work load decreased.
The Company
It can be quiet depending which site you are based at. GSK House is livelier than Stockley Park which is in Uxbridge.
