The Role
My industrial placement has allowed my to use my science and data based knowledge and apply it in an industrial environment.
Working with experienced industry professionals was great and i felt as if the work i did was valued.
Throughout i felt confident that i was always supported and any issues i had could be resolved through my supervisor.
Workload builds up throughout the year as i gained experience, by the end i felt as if my work balance was just right.
A good level of responsibility where i had to work hard but not over pressured.
Working in Manufacturing showed me how science and data skills can be applied in a real world situation. I will take back what i learned this year and use it at uni and for the rest of my life
The Company
Positive and hard working. I felt welcomed and supported throughout the year.
Lots of formal training where technical and personnel skills are developed.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
This year has been incredible valuable and there are many career opportunities with GSK and the rest of the Pharma industry.
The Culture
Some, but groups tended to stick together and wasn't a huge amount of interaction.
Lived at home, but thinks its relatively prices compared to other areas.
Not Great. Few Bars but there isn't much around the town.
Yes Worthing has lots of sports clubs and activities to do.
