The Role
This was one of the best experiences I have had while being at university, there is so much opportunity when working at VWFS, you are able to network and meeting so many people, learning never stops, I learnt new things everyday which I never thought I was get a chance or opportunity to learn.
As an undergraduate, you are treated as an employee, not just an university student. My team ensured me that it was okay to not know everything and that this year was all about learning. They always supported me with my work and were always there when I needed a helping hand, they valued all my hard work and were a huge support system to me throughout my year.
My manager was always there when I needed them, they would ensure I had work to do, that I understood what I was doing and they really showed me a lot of support with my personal and work development over the year. We would have regular 121 to ensure I was happy with work and if I had any concerns I was able to comfortably express it.
Always busy, there was always something to do, I also had projects throughout the year, so once I had finished what was priority for the day I was able to get on with my project. We also had different events or training courses which we were able to go on and take part in, this was great we were out the office doing something different.
I had a good amount to make me feel valued, I wasn't given loads of responsibility to were I felt overwhelmed and from the beginning of the year my responsibility grew which was better than having been thrown in the deep end right at the start. I always felt comfortable with how much I was responsible for.
Everything from having a good routine, to the skills I have learnt by using new application, social skills, working within a team, understanding and identifying what is important & needs priority, being in difficult situations. There are soo many things which I am going to be taking and using to help me gain the best final year grade!
The Company
There was always a good atmosphere in the office, I worked alongside everyone on our floor, so O knew a lot of people, it was always nice to walk past people and say hi or have small conversations, I was a lively workspace which was very social and enjoyable.
Overall I was very well organized, O always had things planned to do, and my manager had all our IT access completed and set up before I started. I didn't have to wait around for access to certain things and if I needed extra access it didn't take long.
There were so many different training days and development days we had, from learning about creating PowerPoints, to excel courses, to personal development plans to even 212. I has so many opportunities which I took while being at FS, and I will be able to use all this training throughout my career.

VWFS have a graduate scheme which I am able to apply for, I am going to apply which I am excited to see if I get. There are also so many opportunities to go back after university even if I didn't take the graduate role. You are able to development and move around the business very easily which would also give me a chance to try different job roles in different departments.
The Culture
As a group of undergrads we has a familiarization day where we met all the undergrads, from then we made a group chat and all became really good friends, we planned social events, sit with each other at lunches. Same thing with my team/colleagues, we all become friendly and did social events outside of work.
The cost wasn't actually that expensive it was around £450 a month for rent including bills, social nights out were a little bit expensive as you would have to get taxi's. in Milton Keynes its very difficult to walk to place I definitely recommend a car. But there are a good choice of supermarkets.
It is not like university but it was very good, most club/pubs/bars are in the center, I defiantly have a great memories of nights out with the undergrads and my team.
Yes, there are loads of different things to do in MK, From snowboarding, to roller skating, Mini golf. We also took part in a lot of charity work which all the undergrads.
