The Role
The structure of the placement and the thought and attention to detail given has been amazing. There are so many opportunities you can get involved in, and you have a strong support network throughout, whether that be the other 20+ Undergrads or your team.
The work you do never goes unoticed, you have regular reviews and it really aids your personal development. I have really made some good friends at VWFS that I will keep for life. There are alot of tasks that I will be the only one who can do it, so it makes you feel even more valued.
Regular review periods, always get feedback, nothing is too much trouble. Its not just your manager who will help, the VWFS culture is that everyone helps everyone! That in itself made fitting in great.
You pick up regular tasks which only you can do, so you always have a full workload. There is opportunity to support elsewhere if your tasks diminish, I have never had one day where I have been bored!
If you show that you are responsible, and there is a mutual respect there, your team / other teams will trust you and give you more responsibility. Overtime it just becomes a given that you are responsible for your own tasks. Everyone makes mistakes however, if you own them and take responsibility, it shows maturity.
There was so many training courses we could use. My most useful for university will be the excel course and also the powerful presentation course. These are key for my degree and beyond. I also have done some google analytics training, and used CRM systems which I didn't even know what they were and my confidence levels have shot up!
The Company
So much going on every week, from celebrating 25th anniversary to easter/Halloween. Lots of goodies! Christmas was great too, we had a huge Christmas dinner in the canteen with music and you could book a table for your team so we could all sit together. Everyone is always so happy at VWFS and everyone seems to get along so well!
obviously for the current situation things have changed, but they handled it really well and the support has been amazing. You can tell there has been alot of planning going into the placement, and the support is great, the feedback and reviews and HR having an open door policy is great too.
Alot of personal training. We did a Microsoft Excel course, Powerful Presentation course, we got to go ona trip to see where the cars go after sale. THey clearly invest a lot of money in UGS and I think that's great. It has really helped for personal development. I love it

Really appealing, I have got to experience different roles and its made me realise what other teams do! The company is great and offers great opportunities, you can see that they invest in their employees and always want the best for you! which is always positive, I would love to work for VWFS in the future.
The Culture
YES! We are such a close knit group, we used to go out weekly and chill and watch love island together, because theres so many of us, it was like being at uni! Even my team organized nights out, it definitely wasn't good for the diet!! that is for sure
Quite expensive to live, socializing is probably just the same price as anywhere else. So close to London though, we even went for a bottomless brunch and a pub crawl in London! ended Messy. I would say its closer to London prices than uni, but youre getting paid, so its all relative!
Its ok, there is a good nightclub and some good bars. But nights out are good/bad based on the people. We had house parties too! Milton Keynes is a weird place if you have never been before, but there are so many lush places to eat and nice bars, and villages near by!
Always some form of volunteering you can do, I think there is a football team too.
