The Role
First day is quite long seen as its and introduction. However, the more interactive days and shadowing can be quite fun.
As the days went on, everyone got to know each other better and it became more of a relaxed atmosphere rather than the nervous bunch on day 1.
Everything was well organised and laid out. If there are any changes, the graduate team will notify you on the day AND via e-mail.
First day is mainly presentations. Second day is interactive simulations of trading, operations and technology. All really fun. Days 3 and 4 are work shadowing with small assessments at the end of each day. Final day is an assessment centre.
None seen as we are just gaining an insight.
Fairly neutral. Met people and did contribute to discussions, presentations, etc. Overall, just enjoy the experience and you will reap the benefits as you go along.
The Company
Fairly quiet. Nothing too busy.
Well organised. Everything went according to plan.
We had a speaker on day 1 with regards to networking tips.
Company Parties/Events
Hopefully they give me an internship offer (fingers crossed).
The Culture
Everyone was up for a laugh once the week went on. But serious when required to be.
London is expensive. However, RBS will accommodate you (really nice apartments!!) if you live outside the M25. Food was provided throughout.
We didn't have time for 'nightlife'.
No time for that stuff. Week starts off long, but ends before you know it.
