    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
  • I enjoyed the virtual experience to a great extent. The experience covered all the main objectives I had in terms of what I wanted to get out of the programme and it still felt immersive and personal, despite the virtual setup. The event ran smoothly with a good flow to each event.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The company made all of the participants feel welcome and there was an informal approach taken by the employees, which I think made the participants feel more at ease. Questions were welcomed by the hosts and this made me feel valued, as I was able to convey my thoughts and receive answers to them.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the virtual experience?
  • Participants were able to raise their hand if they had any concerns and were able to call the host into breakout rooms if they had any issues. Perhaps might be improved if there was a chat box or monitored email during the event, setup specifically to ask for guidance or support

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The knowledge gained from the experience is definitely crucial for anyone who is interested in the field of Investment Banking. The Q&A sessions and other talks, as well as skills workshop, was insightful and extremely relevant to those participating and I think the skills gained are applicable to activities relating to what was discussed.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the virtual experience?
  • The experience was very well structured and comprehensive. All the key front office roles were covered very well and explained in detail. Being able to ask questions afterwards was also very useful and helpful. Breaks were given at appropriate times and the content was well delivered in a short period of time.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your virtual experience?
  • The general atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. The sessions were not extremely formal, which I believe made every participant feel more at ease, and the hosts and speakers were all very nice and open to any questions we had. There was also an interactive session which was fun and useful.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The workshop exercise we participated in developed our skills to analyse and isolate useful information, and I think the workshop was well thought out and very unique as well as extremely useful. Allowing questions from participants also was a good idea as we were able to build our confidence by interacting with even senior employees.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the virtual experience help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The virtual experience gave an insight into the lives and daily work of employees already there, which was very useful. There was no simulation of any daily work done by employees but in the time frame given, I think all the main points were covered, in terms of expectations and working there.

    3/5

  • 9. How much did the virtual experience help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The virtual experience helped to a major extent in terms of learning about the company culture. We were able to interact with both senior and junior members of the bank, working in a range of different roles, and these interactions gave a very clear idea about the culture at the firm.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?

  • Virtual 1 day experience, so not necessary

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • We were able to meet a range of employees, both senior and junior during the event, but limited to those members in attendance. However, we were given the chance to ask for their emails and reach out to them on social media, so that way we could keep in touch with them.
