About You
It was really well organized and very enriching despite the virtual format adopted due to the pandemic. Jefferies' members really took their time to tell us all about their industry, their line of work and the company.
Given the format and time constraints, it was impossible to ask all our questions. But when we did, the team really gave us precise and detailed answers. The HR was also very attentive and tried their best to create a trusting environment where everyone felt confident enough to participate.
The HR was always there with us providing guidance and explaining how the day would unfold.
Being a Masters Finance student, what I learned from exchanging with senior management and analysts will be useful mostly outside my degree studies. We were given really valuable advice that will most certainly serve us well at work and throughout our career.
The Company
Despite the virtual format it was very well organized.
It is very challenging to keep students motivated behind their webcams throughout an entire day but Jefferies managed to do it.
Having personal statements from Jefferies members (whether analysts or MDs) was very useful to better understand what to expect when entering the firm/industry.
When you read the website, you get a list of values and behaviors etc... that characterize the firm's culture. However during this Insight Day, we got to see this culture come to life.
Everything Else
It was virtual.
