    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I worked at the Southbank office which is an amazing location as it was in the middle of central. The department I worked in was always lively and people were always welcoming to us interns and invited and involved us in all the events they had. The only day the atmosphere was down was on Fridays as most people worked from home.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • My placement was very well organised due to both my task manager who always had work for me to do and we always had projects we were working on. But also my placement manager who always completed check ups and if I did have no work to do she would find some for me!

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We have a learning platform which is open to all employees and therefore we are able to complete training and badges which helped in terms of training. The badges were on different areas of the business, for example consulting. Our placement managers always encouraged us to complete different training and would always set some for us to do.

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very appealing, during your time you are encouraged to network all the time, by doing this you can explore different areas of the business and thus making it easier to apply back as a grad as you have already built those networks and have a passion to work for the company.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Due to the location and the amount of interns at the Southbank location this meant there was a large social scene, especially in summer when the weather was nice. Also as a marketing intern we were always invited to loads of events which were really fun and exciting to be apart of.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London isn't cheap - I already live at home in London so therefore had no rent. But travel into central was quite a bit however we had flexible working and could work from home sometimes. As it is central London the food prices are higher however a lot of people brought their own lunch in.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Personally I didnt go out a lot but I know from friends that the night life in London is good but can be expensive. There are many bars and clubs around that you can go to and usually they host events at the location anyways with free drinks for everyone.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The opportunities are always there but you have to be active in going out and networking and finding these. I had a really good role which connected me with loads of people who offered to give me work and help me as they saw my good work ethic. In marketing we always had opportunities to get involved in large projects.
