The Role
WarnerMedia allows for growth in your Year In Industry. They offer a supportive environment which helps interns learn and expand their knowledge while giving you enough autonomy to contribute to projects and increase your confidence in a working environment. During my time working on the HBO side I was able to contribute and lead projects in new job areas including press events while on the Warner Brothers side I expanded my knowledge in different areas and learnt how an international company functions.
During my entire year I experienced a wide range of tasks and felt that each of them was important to the role of the company. I felt that my colleagues valued my input, comments and opinions in projects and I felt confident enough in my team to express my opinions.
Management were supportive and checked in with team members on a regular basis. Our personal performance catch-ups were beneficial and I felt that any issues raised were listened to and support was offered.
For me work came in cyclical ups and downs in the week so being organised was a very useful skill. I had a variety of long term projects and weekly tasks which varied my 'busy-ness' in a work week. I felt that if I became overwhelmed there was an opportunity to raise my concerns and discuss options with my manager who helped me prioritise and help with my workload.
During my work year I felt that I had varying roles of responsibility. During my first section of my placement I felt like I had more however I believe the slightly less responsibility in the second half was due to the health situation at the time. However, I do feel that in a 'normal' situation there is the opportunity to ask for more work if this is wanted.
This placement changed the way that I thought about marketing and helped me choose my dissertation subject. I have learnt skills that I will take through my work life and I highly recommend the experience.
The Company
I believe that is was a good atmosphere in the workplace with lots of social opportunities to get involved in.
Due to my unique situation my internship changed halfway through the year which wasn't too smooth however the internship itself was well organised, well structured and helped me through my internship.
I believe that they were invested in helping be learn useful skills which would serve me in the future. I also believe that there were some specific members of teams who were willing to help with personal development and networking opportunities.

Company Parties/Events
I believe that WarnerMedia values past interns experience and there are opportunities in the organisation for future employment.
The Culture
Intern social events happen quite often and there is a good atmosphere between the different interns.
Its London... It's expensive.
London is a great area to be and there are so many opportunities to socialise and experience new things. The area that we were in has many little pubs and is close (walking or on the tube) to Soho and other great areas.
There are lots of opportunities to get involved in volunteering with the company and activities with interns
