About You
The insight was very enjoyable, and there was a variety of sessions available including networking with different departments of the firm.
The Graduate Recruitment team made sure that we all felt valued during the internship. We were given many opportunities to ask questions to individuals at the firm. We also had smaller group networking sessions so that we could ask more questions. Also, the trainee pub quiz on the first evening of the internship made everyone feel involved and welcome.
We were always given the opportunity to ask questions, and Graduate Recruitment maintained contact with us over zoom, email and phone throughout the internship to make sure that we were guided throughout it.
I gained valuable insight into life and work as a lawyer through the valuable talks provided on the internship.
The Company
The internship was very organised. We were given, in advance, a detailed schedule for each day. This included the individuals that would be conducting the talks for each day.
A very positive, inspiring and welcoming atmosphere.
We were challenged with a group exercise, helping us to develop our skills and exceed our comfort zones. This was very enjoyable.
I feel that I have gained a wide-ranging insight into what it would be like to train at the firm, as we were able to network with many trainees throughout the internship.
I feel that I have gained a very detailed insight into the firm's culture, which is very welcoming and friendly. Furthermore, the firm gave detailed insight into each aspect of the firm including its important work on diversity and responsible business, as well as pro bono.
The talks and networking sessions were very helpful, as the internship provided many different perspectives.
Everything Else
We were given a social networking session on the first evening (a pub quiz with trainees). We were given drop-in sessions with different offices and departments. We were also provided with various talks.
Very enjoyable! Everyone was really welcoming and friendly, and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm.
In the talks and networking sessions provided, there was discussion of many different activities that employees can get involved in.
This insight was very structured, organised, and provided me with a lot of detail in regard to training at DLA Piper as well as the career of a lawyer more generally.
