The Role
Great atmosphere. Brilliant organisation who put their workers first. Friendly and supportive team.
My colleagues were very supportive. I had a great relationship with them. You’d always be included in team socials and other outgoings too.
Both my manager and mentor were always there when I needed support. They were very knowledgeable, and even when they didn’t know how to help with certain things, they’d go out their way to find out the answer.
You are set project work. As well as project work, depending on the team you’re in, you may participate in business as usual type work. You were always encouraged to ask for more work if what you had wasn’t enough. You were also encouraged to tell someone when the work you did have may be too much.
I felt valued as if I were a full time employee. My voice was heard. The role I was doing was no different to a full time employees role.
The Company
The office was always vibrant. We had many events in the main block where the whole organisation got involved. The team I was in were very chatty, friendly and we were always having a laugh.
Coming into my team, I had some knowledge in what the team does beforehand, but sometimes people don’t get placements related directly to their interest or degree title. I would suggest a more structured approach to new members of the team where fundamentals / basics are taught first. You do get to watch videos and play around with labs when you start, though.
The company are very interest in their employees training and future development. The company paid for me to take an certification.

I would definitely consider coming back because of the various reasons I’ve mentioned in other answers. If I was to come back, I’d definitely like to come back to the team I was in.
