About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the virtual experience with Jefferies as a participant in their EMEA Next Generation Diversity Symposium. It was an insightful experience with a diverse range of guest speakers from the firm allowing me to learn more about the culture at Jefferies and how the front office division are structured. Furthermore, I also learnt more about the empowering diversity initiatives at Jefferies from panel sessions with members of these groups and other analysts and senior managers.
I felt very valued during the entire event by the firm. The recruiters who hosted the event helped make the event as interactive as possible for the many participants by allowing us to ask our questions to the panellists and speakers as well as ensuring we were well informed throughout the day of the agenda and other useful information going forward. By interacting with the participants, I believe I was valued by the firm and more engaged with the event itself.
The guidance was clear and transparent throughout the virtual event. The entire event agenda had a structure and the sessions were meticulously planned in advanced to ensure that the event was insightful and useful. Any questions we may have had were answered and we were well-informed as participants throughout the entire day.
The information I gained will go a significant way in helping to assist my degree studies and my professional goals. I learn a lot about the industry and the different front office division which is important for my strong pursuit of working in finance.
The Company
The event was extremely well structured with a clear and effective schedule throughout the day. The sessions and transitions between the sessions were efficient and it made the whole event smooth and interactive.
The general atmosphere was very inspirational as it was an engaging platform for all the participants to feel empowered and educated by listening and learning from the range of guest speakers.
They invested a lot in me in this event as the time and effort it must've required to set up an event virtually of this magnitude and importance shows how much Jefferies was keen to invest in their prospective talent by enriching the participants and ensuring we had an invaluable experience.
To a strong extent, this was achieved as listening to the insights from many different senior managers and analysts within the firm allowed me to gain a crucial insight into understanding what the work involved in their full time roles is like.
It significantly helped me understand the company culture as there was an entire session dedicated to learning explicitly about the values and ethics of Jefferies which creates their inspiring culture that resonated with me.
Very valuable as it will shape my plans with the strong level of important information I gained.
Everything Else
This was not needed as it was a virtual experience event.
There were opportunities of this kind which were very enjoyable, informative and interactive.
Despite not having seen much of this due to the virtual aspect of the event which was focused on the firm and their speakers, it was still great to see other participants and then be able to connect with them afterwards.
Yes. The analysts and diversity panel speakers were very vocal about the fantastic opportunities for networking and social events outside of work that help to reinforce the collaborative culture and environment of the the firm.
Yes 100%.
