The Role
It allowed me to see a different view on how sciences are used in the work place.
I was able to work on projects independently with minor oversight. I also had access to the knowledge of my team at any point without issue.
If i had any issues i knew who could help me and when i asked for help it was provided As quickly as possible.
I always had work to do but I didn't feel overwhelmed.
I was able to work on project nearly independently if I wanted to.
my experiences helped to hone my critical thinking skills which will be invaluable in my future career.
The Company
relaxed but still professional. the nature of the work lent itself to a non - rigid office structure with people using the collective knowledge to find solutions to a problem.
their were a few issues stemming from company restructuring and COVID-19, but i always had someone to look after me.
i completed various in house courses but due to the short amount of time with the company I could not go into further courses.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
not really due to the small number of year-long placement students
not too excessive.
derby doesn't have much nightlife.
the company has a lot of social infrastructure in the area but it can be difficult to find out where it is.
