  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • It allowed me to see a different view on how sciences are used in the work place.

    • I was able to work on projects independently with minor oversight. I also had access to the knowledge of my team at any point without issue.

    • If i had any issues i knew who could help me and when i asked for help it was provided As quickly as possible.

    • I always had work to do but I didn't feel overwhelmed.

    • I was able to work on project nearly independently if I wanted to.

    • my experiences helped to hone my critical thinking skills which will be invaluable in my future career.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • relaxed but still professional. the nature of the work lent itself to a non - rigid office structure with people using the collective knowledge to find solutions to a problem.

    • their were a few issues stemming from company restructuring and COVID-19, but i always had someone to look after me.

    • i completed various in house courses but due to the short amount of time with the company I could not go into further courses.

    • not really due to the small number of year-long placement students

    • not too excessive.

    • derby doesn't have much nightlife.

    • the company has a lot of social infrastructure in the area but it can be difficult to find out where it is.
