About You
The scheme was incredibly comprehensive and the firm provided brilliant insight to a diverse range of its practice areas, both contentious and transactional. These insight sessions were run by passionate representatives from the respective departments, and multiple opportunities were provided during each session to ask any questions and get a genuine insight into the work undertaken as well as the wider culture of the firm. It was an invaluable week!
No question was a stupid question, and Stephenson Harwood were clearly keen to get to know the participants on a personal level. This was particularly evident in the diversity and inclusion workshop, where grad recruitment took time to understand our backgrounds, passions and personal journeys.
Grad recruitment were always on hand to address any concerns, and each participant was allocated a 'buddy' (a current trainee) and a supervisor who was either an associate or partner to support us during the week. These individuals were happy to answer any questions, provide further insight into their areas and give some interview advice
I feel that my communication skills and my analytical skills have been strengthened even during the short time spent on the scheme
The Company
The insight was incredible well structured, with frequent informative sessions combined with social activities and opportunities to question current trainees. Doing the assessment centre midweek was also very good because once it was out of the way we could relax and enjoy the rest of the experience.
There was a brilliant atmosphere - we all got on very well as participants and all of the representatives of the firm were supportive, engaging and welcoming.
