    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
  • I found the general experience very enjoyable. I thought the length of the event was short enough to keep me engaged while still long enough to be as insightful as possible. The split between taking questions and the general presentation was also well managed. I found all the panelists to be very engaging and provided great insight into the industry. I also appreciate the sheer number of panelists that were brought on which allowed for many informative perspectives. It was a great experience and would recommend it to those who are willing to not only learn about Jefferies but the industry as a whole.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I generally felt valued during my virtual experience. The moderators were always mindful of time such that we as participants were able to get the most out of the presentation while still having time to ask questions towards the end. Although being selected to ask a question was quite difficult, it was due to no fault of their own as there were over 300 people in the call. I generally felt Jefferies has valued my participation at the event.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the virtual experience?
  • Felt there was more than enough guidance during the entire program. There was only very little expected from participants in terms of asking questions and being engaged and Jefferies provided clear instructions on how to do so. Even after the moderators ran into technical issues, they were still able to keep us engaged and managed to adapt to the situation within a very short period of time. Overall, although little guidance was needed, Jefferies provided it.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I felt I learnt a lot about a potential career in Investment Banking during this event. As someone who was stuck on pursuing a single division within the bank, I was able to broaden my horizons and get a much more holistic understanding of all the different divisions. I particularly enjoyed the panel being very informative and how their passions for their job came across when speaking. I feel like the event has given me a much better understanding of the industries and has shifted my goal for a career.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the virtual experience?
  • It was a very well structured experience. As participants, we were able to get a general understanding of each of the divisions before going into greater detail and asking questions. I felt the breaks during the experience were well placed and much needed due to the sheer amount of information we were given. Having the ability to listen to both senior and junior employees made for a better understanding of the job and the sections to ask questions were well placed.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your virtual experience?
  • I found the general atmosphere to be very friendly and inviting. Everyone on the panel seemed interested in being there and was very receptive to questions while giving thoughtful and truthful answers. The panelists got along together and there was no tension amongst the participants and panelists either. Participants were not afraid to ask questions which was very encouraging to others. The whole event was also organized professionally and gave me a good impression of Jefferies.

  • 8. To what extent did the virtual experience help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The experience gave a great overall understanding of what life would be like at the firm. By having both senior and junior employees, it gave an idea of how career progression works and how they retain talent. I was also given a good understanding of the different roles within the firm and how Jefferies manages to separate themselves from other competitors. • There plenty of opportunities throughout the event to network with professionals from the industry throughout the event. I also appreciate the number of people that were brought in and the multiple divisions they were from. This gave me a much better understanding of how the firm works and gave me a number of a different perspectives to increase my knowledge.
