About You
I enjoyed the virtual experience and hearing the experiences of the employees at Jefferies on diversity and inclusion as well as their jobs.
Due to the virtual platform and the number of students on the zoom call, it meant that it was quite hard to be able to interact with the panel as not questions could be answered in the time frame.
I now understand the application process of Jefferies and more about their schemes to promote diversity.
I believe I gained more confidence to be able address a question in front of a large audience over the zoom call. The information heard from the speakers on equity research and equity sales has furthered confirmed this is a career path I would like pursue.
The Company
It was well-structured despite the technical difficulties.
The general atmosphere was inviting and questions were met with warmth and enthusiasm.
Due to the nature of the event being virtual and more of an insight into the firm, there was not much personal training or development. However, the possible fast-track option further shows the dedication from Jefferies to increase diversity.
The virtual experience was insightful. The speakers and each panel spoke openly about their experiences and answered all questions in-depth.
The virtual experience highlighted the companies' culture well. All speakers talked about their positive experiences at Jefferies despite their background.
I already want to pursue a career in markets and investment banking but this event has definitely increased my enthusiasm.
Everything Else
Free virtual event.
There was not opportunities to network during the event but further networking could be done by ourselves and was encouraged.

Each employee spoke about what they were involved in outside of their work and especially their involvement in the diversity initiatives at Jefferies.
Most definitely. It was a great opportunity to gain insight into Jefferies as a firm.
