The Role
I really enjoyed my internship as I was able to connect with bright individuals that share my values and learn a lot about the Investment Banking industry!
The employer provided a very supportive, friendly environment where colleagues were extremely helpful and caring and not too formal. It is hard to imagine better colleagues.
My buddy and mentor reached out to me immediately and I was in contact on a daily basis with them. They seemed very interested and committed in ensuring my success.
Certain days were busier and more challenging than others, but in general there was time pressure and tight schedules, despite the challenging virtual environment due to coronavirus.
I was assigned a case study, where I was the only one responsible. Analysts and associates supported me in the task. Due to the environment, I was only marginally involved in client material.
The training and skills acquired perfectly complement my theoretical studies through a hands-on approach, in which you are asked to complete new tasks and find solutions to problems in a team or individually. I grew professionally and personally thanks to the internship.
The Company
Extremely friendly and supporting atmosphere but at the same time results-oriented and high-performing.
Very well organized, despite the challenging virtual environment.
I could see how important I was for the firm, intense formal training of two weeks and plenty of time from extremely senior figures with speeches and calls.
Financial Bonus
Extremely appealing overall - intense but satisfying.
The Culture
Definitely
I worked from home so N/A; London would have been more expensive. However, I had to pay higher taxes by working from Italy.
N/A
Virtual drinks and quizzes were fun in the virtual environment due to thePandemic.
