    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Despite the challenging circumstances the work environment was made enjoyable by the people in Bank of America. Duties were various in nature and the work structure was very dynamical.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Many colleagues reached out spontaneously, and all the others contacted were amazingly kind and available in jumping in a call and providing insight.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My buddy, mentor, and development officer were all incredibly supportive and available.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The work-life balance was very good. The 55-hour weekly cap limited sometimes the activity as it did not allow to assist the team after 8pm.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I feel I was given as much responsibility as possible considering the short duration of the internship, the virtual nature of it, and the limited access to MNPI.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • What I learned in these few weeks will have an invaluable impact on my financial background knowledge.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The three-week initial period consisting of induction and training was crucial in providing us with the right tools to tackle the remainder of the internship.
