    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really Enjoyed it was fantastic and have gained very good experience that will hold me in good stead, was very useful to work with such a good company that work with young people and focus on early carrers so much to let them achieve the best they can achieve. I would also say it has been good to come into work whilst we could but due to the current situation it was cut short by covid 19.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt very valued and felt that i belonged to the team and i wasn't just an intern, i was treated fairly and always was respected. if i needed any assistance at all my fellow staff members were always happy to help me out with whatever i needed and if i required any additional help then my fellow colleges would always help me seek it and try to find out the answer for me promptly.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • really good support, well structured and it was always there if you needed it, during my time i had two managers and both of them were very supportive of me and helped me grow as a person they have always asked to help me the best they can all through this internship and they explored and allowed me to stay on extra till September when the placement was supposed to finish in the middle of June

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • yes always busy i had lots of work to do and there is always chance to take on more, if you ever get stuck on work all you have to do is ask and one of your fellow workers or team members will help you out i believe that kind of support is critical on a placement as it is about growing young people and i feel i have massively gained form the level of support.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Alot of responsibility for the role was really useful, i managed to just excel myself in my rotation, i have built up a very good balance and relationship with my fellow colleges that i think will stand me in good stead for the future i have learnt good communication and professionalism skills that i can carry forward into my final year at university and apply the knowledge i have learnt into my working career at some point.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Really far i had a good learning session and it has taught me alot going back to university, since starting the placement and now i feel a lot more comfortable and happy with addressing situations and what they might throw at me, i feel like i can take on challenges and focus more on what matters and that is to focus to my studies and get better at building a professional career for later life

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • it was really good you was encouraged to get up and talk it was very open planned and there was always people you could go to if you needed help and i feel the office friendliness got better when working from home as everyone came together to help others out and keep moral up but also people knew how different it was so people were made to focus more on personal side and think about others

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised i couldn't praise the early careers people enough they have your focus at heart and will do anything for you to help you get better and focus more on your placement they organised some really good trips and they made sure that if you need anything that you can come to them for assistance and they will do the best they can, they work closely with you and always make you feel valued.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They invested alot they allowed me to go out to mail centers and see live operations for real and get involved with the deployment of new kit and be able to play a part in keeping the nations mail moving. i enjoyed been out on the road with my fellow worker and seeing operations outside of the business i think they experience i have got is second to none and i could not thank them more.
