About You
It was a well rounded experience with lots of opportunities to learn and meet with other people. There were plenty of opportunities to meet the other interns via fun sessions.
Even if we did not have the opportunity to do actual work, having the chance to interact with senior speakers and engage in conversations made me feel valued. The interns were also involved in the CSR challenge which made me feel like I was part of the family.
I had an amazing graduate buddy who would check on me weekly and advise me on anything I would ask her regarding work or even just the future.
We had a few development sessions on maximising our potential, networking and building sponsorship. These are things that I will definitely be using in my future career. Interacting with so many people virtually over this period of time has also made me much more comfortable talking to people and confident engaging in discussions
The Company
It was very well structured. The first week was an introduction to the bank and really helped us to learn more about Natwest group and its culture. Then we had a focus week on our respective divisions which was also very well organised so that we could learn as much as we can our the roles and functions in the few days. We also had development sessions and Friday fun sessions. Very well structured!
It was very inclusive. There were interns from all over the world. The Early Careers team made us feel very comfortable. The senior speakers were enthusiastic about having discussions with us. We also had fun sessions over zoom with other interns. Overall, I would describe the atmosphere as being welcoming and fun.
External companies were invited to host personal development sessions for us
By speaking to the current graduates over coffee sessions, we managed to get a fairly good idea of what that would be like.
Very valuable. I got a much better understanding of the division I wanted to work for and the huge amount of opportunities available to me within the bank.
