About You
It was a very enjoyable experience, I learnt a lot and I was able to get a lot of exposure to different teams, and to hear from really inspiring speakers.
I felt very valued, so many events were planned for us, everyone from the team was willing to speak with me and teach me things and we were very much immersed into Citi life
Received a lot of support, whether it be from a buddy from a different team, or the two buddies I received in the team that I was based in - I had a lot of contact points and everyone I worked with was willing to give me tips and tricks on how to be more efficient
I have definitely improved my ability to manage time and communicate, the hours that I worked tested me physically, but will be useful in future as I can now see that I am able to operate relatively efficiently with little sleep, and some of the career/life advice that I received was very useful for me
The Company
It was very well structured, with lots of events planned, lots of introductory sessions and lots of opportunities to learn more about different teams
It was a great atmosphere, albeit strange as it was virtual, but couldn't have gone any better I don't think
The firm invested a lot of time in me - as mentioned before, there were so many events and sessions that my brain was literally overflowing with information
I was able to get a sense of the hours, both actually working and waiting for feedback, and I was able to work on some real-life tasks like company profiles - the projects that I worked on definitely gave me a good insight into the topic areas that they were based on
It helped me to see that Citi is a very collaborative firm, where people are willing to go out of their way to help you, and everyone wants to see you do well
It was very valuable.
Everything Else
I was paid
There were many opportunities
They were very good
I did find out, yes
100%, but hopefully the internship can be in-person next year and beyond
