About You
The virtual experience was not so bad, it was my first virtual internship or even work but it was really well organized. I would have preferred of course to be in an office with colleagues that you can see in real but with platforms like WebEx or Skype, we can still reach to others people , get to know them etc.
During this virtual internship we had the opportunity to talk with anyone at Barclays (COO, VP, Graduates..), a lot of people took the time to talk with me and to explain to me in what is consisting their job at Barclays.
A lot, you are never alone even online, if you have a problem there is always someone to help you.
My intern project teached me a lot things, we were using tools and technologies I've never used before. Those technologies (like AWS) are tools that every big companies are using so to work with that is really a chance for me. Indeed that's not the type of things we are learning at school, and to have worked with those technologies will really help me to work after my studies and it makes a difference with others students that have never worked with.
The Company
The virtual experience was very well structured, all the sessions was presented by different people at Barclays by WebEx meetings. Those meetings were very interesting, even in virtual we were able to understand and to follow the presentation the best way possible. The intern project was also a very interesting project, we always had someone to who ask questions if we were in trouble, our manager was always here for us, it was really a good experience. Some others online activities were proposed to us (like charity project, quizz, games..) and it was for us the opportunity to get to know others intern.
We had a good atmosphere, all the different sessions was really interesting.
