The Role
It was really informative, very fast paced but I enjoyed that because we were always doing something and the people were all very friendly and helpful.
All the other interns were incredibly friendly and happy to help each other out. I felt that the people we were work shadowing were very happy to answer all of our questions and also very honest with their answers.
Any questions we had were always answered.
There were some days when I felt a little rushed to get to different locations in a very small time gap. I think these time gaps should be made a little longer.
I do not feel that we were in position where we could have been given much responsibility but be able to represent RBS during the CSR was a great experience.
The skills and training will definitely help me when I have future networking opportunities and hopefully give me a good basic understanding about the area I decide to work in.
The Company
People were very helpful, friendly and it seemed like RBS is a lovely place to work.
There wasn't a single part that was not explained to us.
I feel that a lot of time was spent helping us get to grips with the industry and organising activities to stimulate us.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
The fact that the internship offered an assessment day for a place on the summer programme really proves that the firm is looking to invest in the interns, which is something not many places do with spring/easter interns.
The Culture
After talking to people on the graduate scheme, it seems that there is a lot of social events that are organised for them, especially during their training.
Being in London, everything was quite expensive.
There was a lot to do, something for everyone.
I don't think I was made aware of any apart from the CSR, which is something that I am very interested in.
